Dyri Rattlingourd
Dyri Rattlingourd has loved art since early childhood. Creative pursuits at Jim Ned ISD included art, choir, theater, & band through ninth grade. A move to Coleman County in tenth grade brought fewer formal opportunities. Ambition to attend the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA, fueled Dyri’s pursuit of art in all its forms. She joined the Coleman Junior Art League, sculpted in welding class, sketched in biology class, participated in Art Walk, took plush commissions, & painted a theater prop.
After high school graduation, Dyri was accepted to SCAD with dual scholarships in 2007, majoring in Illustration. She interned at Working Class Studio, joined swing dance club, & took up book binding. Dyri completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2011.
Dyri fell in love with Collin, a fellow SCAD student & film major, in 2010 in Savannah, GA. The couple sold their handmade goods including Peepa Bunnies™ & launched a monthly vendor fair featuring live music at a bar in Savannah. They moved to the Atlanta area & wed in 2013. Dyri began working as a graphic designer.
The couple relocated to Scottsdale, AZ. Dyri completed “Loki Deity” in 2018, which was then published as the frontispiece of Blood Unbound: A Loki Devotional by The Troth in 2021. The couple moved to Abilene in 2019 & became parents. The couple formed Rattlingourd Studio, LLC™ in 2026. Dyri is a full-time multimedia specialist, manages logistics for Rattlingourd Studio, LLC™, pursues gallery exhibits, & vends at pop-ups.
A member of the Center for Contemporary Arts since 2025, Dyri has participated in several shows, juried or otherwise, & volunteered to judge for the 2026 Interscholastic Student Art Competition. She also joined the Brownwood Art Association, following admittance to the 2026 Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit.
